I read an article today that sited research about alligators living near Florida’s Lake Apopka having such small penises they can’t even reproduce sexually. Since 1980, increased levels of the harsh chemical pesticide DDT have exposed the gators to high concentrations of chemicals that mimic estrogen.(1)
There is evidence of the disastrous effects of pesticides and herbicides, quite similar to this, all over the world.
Now before you go and argue that DDT is no longer being used (except in the instance of Malaria control)(2), I’m here to tell you that there’s a slew of other toxic chemicals that are being sprayed on our crops and in our food.
Glyphosate, the chemical made by Monsanto and found in Roundup, works to kill plants by destroying the “shikimate pathway” and tearing apart their amino acids. It destroys the plant and also its beneficial microorganisms. This has led scientists to create genetically-modified seeds that can resist the glyphosate so the weeds are killed but the crop can still grow.(3)
If you think that these chemicals do not pose risks to humans, think again. Humans and animals were designed to eat unmodified food in its natural state. Our bodies weren’t intended to consume chemical-laced, genetically engineered “frankenfood.” Studies on laboratory animals showed increased cancer when exposed to glyphosate. In fact, Jess Rowland, a former EPA official, is set to testify in a lawsuit accusing Monsanto of hiding evidence that their Roundup herbicide causes cancer.(4)
Let’s not forget to mention EPA scientist Marion Copley, who wrote a letter to Jess Rowland begging him to protect the public instead of profit interests. She alludes to EPA scientists taking bribes, and describes glyphosate as a chelator that assists with tumor formation. Her entire letter is available to read since it is in unsealed court documents. Marion is now deceased from cancer, and in her letter she states: “I have cancer and I don’t want these serious issues in MED to go unaddressed before I go to my grave. I have done my duty.”
The list goes on and on but I think you get the point. We are soaking our genetically-modified crops with a death-inducing chemical, then putting those crops in everything we eat. Do you think this has anything to do with the fact that there was a study released in 2005 citing an increase of congenital penile anomalies in the United States?(5) But let’s put aside the penis problems for a moment and think about what else is going on here. These chemicals were DESIGNED to destroy living things, and we are consuming them on a daily basis. Are we unknowingly sacrificing our fertility, damaging our DNA, and even increasing our risk of cancer?
I encourage you to do your own research on this. Don’t take my word for it. But I promise, once you open your eyes to the corruption that is going on in the food industry, you will start to look at what you are putting on and in your body a whole lot differently.
